Product Description

High quality: Our pressure tank gaskets are made of high quality, durable food grade silicone.

The 09985 seal fits around the inside edge of the lid and creates a secure pressure seal between the lid and the body of the pressure pot during canning and cooking. High temperature resistance, efficient sealing. Fits Model: 0174510, 0175107, 0175510, and 0178107. Replacement for Presto 16-23qt Pressure Cooker or Canner.

Installation steps: Remove the old used seal and overpressure plug. Thoroughly clean pressure cooker seal ring grooves and overpressure plug holes. Wash the new sealing ring and overpressure plug with warm soapy water, and then dry thoroughly. Install the sealing ring until it is fully seated. Make sure to install it under the stopper and lock pin, at the inner edge of the cover. If necessary, to help make the cover easier to open and close, a very light coating of cooking oil may be applied to the underside of the body lugs and sealing ring. Install the overpressure plug, push the side of the plug (marked "TOP"), enter the opening from the bottom of the cover. The indented part of the plug can be seen from the underside of the cover. When the lid is lightly placed on the body of the pressure cooker, press once installed, open and close the lid a few times to make sure the ring is fully seated.
